Import Restrictions
Limits on what may be imported — prohibitions, quotas, licensing or conditions of entry.
Measures limiting imports: outright prohibition, quantitative quotas, licensing requirements, or conditions such as standards, labelling and inspection.
They attach to the tariff line and often to the origin as well, so the same goods can be freely importable from one country and restricted from another.
