Gross Vehicle Weight
The total permitted weight of a vehicle including its load, fuel and crew.
The maximum weight at which a vehicle may lawfully operate, including the vehicle, fuel, driver and cargo. It caps the payload, and road weight limits differ between countries - a container loaded to a legal weight in one jurisdiction can be over the limit in another.
