Payload
The weight of cargo a vehicle, container or aircraft can carry, excluding its own weight.
The revenue-earning weight capacity, being the maximum permitted weight less the tare weight of the equipment. For a container it is capped by the unit’s own rating and by road weight limits at either end, whichever is lower.
