Delivery Order
A document instructing whoever holds the goods to release them to a named party.
An instruction to the carrier, terminal or warehouse to release goods to a named party. It is typically issued once the transport document has been surrendered and outstanding charges settled.
It is the operational key to the cargo: without it the goods stay where they are, whatever the paperwork elsewhere says.
