CAF

Currency Adjustment Factor: a surcharge covering exchange-rate movement between the carrier’s pricing and settlement currencies.

A surcharge applied by ocean carriers to absorb currency movement between the currency a rate is quoted in and the currencies the carrier actually pays costs in.

Like BAF, it sits outside the base rate, so quotes are only comparable once both are included.
