Cabotage
The carriage of goods between two points within one country, often reserved by law to that country’s own carriers.
Transport between two points inside the same country. Many states reserve it to domestically registered or crewed vessels, aircraft or vehicles.
It catches out international operators: a foreign vessel may be free to bring cargo into a country and still be barred from moving cargo between two of its ports on the same voyage.
