Aircraft Container

A container built to the contours of an aircraft hold, also called a unit load device.

A container or pallet shaped to fit an aircraft’s fuselage, allowing cargo to be loaded as a unit rather than piece by piece. Commonly called a unit load device, or ULD.

Their odd shapes are a consequence of the curved hold, and they are specific to aircraft types, so a ULD is not interchangeable the way a sea container is.
