EU anti-dumping duty on Chinese molybdenum wire is due to expire in July 2027 unless reviewed
The EU says its anti-dumping duty on certain molybdenum wire from China will expire on 27 July 2027 unless an expiry review is started.

Nothing changes yet for buyers of Chinese molybdenum wire in the European Union. But the EU anti-dumping duty on it now has an end date: 27 July 2027.
The duty ends then unless EU producers ask for a review and the Commission opens one. The European Commission said this in notice C/2026/5566, dated 30 October 2026.
The duty was set by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1305 of 25 July 2022. That followed an earlier expiry review. The notice says the measure expires at midnight at the start of 27 July 2027. It does not give the duty rate.
EU producers may send a written request for an expiry review. It must show that ending the duty would likely bring back dumping and injury. Requests can be sent from now until three months before the expiry date.
If the Commission opens a review, importers, exporters and the exporting country can comment.
This matters for EU importers of molybdenum wire from China, and for Chinese exporters. It also matters for EU producers who want the duty kept.
The notice does not say whether any producer plans to ask for a review.
What to check
- Do you import molybdenum wire from China into the EU?
- Are you planning costs past July 2027?
- Watch for a review request before the deadline.
