Third Party Logistics
Outsourcing warehousing, fulfilment and transport management to a specialist provider.
A provider taking on logistics functions for a business: warehousing, order fulfilment, transport management and often customs work. Abbreviated 3PL.
Outsourcing the activity does not outsource the regulatory liability. The importer of record remains answerable for declarations made on its behalf.
