TEU
Twenty-foot equivalent unit: the standard measure of container capacity.
The standard unit of container capacity, equal to one twenty-foot container. A forty-foot container counts as two TEU.
It measures volume of boxes, not weight or value, and it is how vessel capacity, terminal throughput and trade volumes are conventionally reported.
