Cut-off time
The deadline for delivering cargo or documents for a specific sailing or flight.
The latest time cargo, or the documentation for it, can be received for a particular departure. Container yard, documentation and dangerous goods cut-offs are usually different times, and the earliest one governs.
Missing a cut-off normally means the next sailing rather than a late loading, which on a weekly service costs a week.
