Import and export documents
Build one transaction file. The same product facts should appear across every document.
Core transaction records
- Commercial
- Commercial invoice and packing list
- Customs
- Shipping bill, bill of export or Bill of Entry
- Transport
- Bill of lading, air waybill or other mode document
- Bank
- Payment, remittance and realisation evidence
Add documents only when the rule or deal needs them
- Import or export licence
- Certificate or declaration of origin
- BIS, FSSAI, CDSCO or other regulator approval
- Phytosanitary, veterinary, health or fumigation certificate
- Inspection, test or analysis certificate
- Insurance certificate
- Dangerous-goods declaration
- Contract, letter of credit or scheme authorisation
Keep key facts consistent
Use the same buyer and seller names, product description, quantity, units, marks, package count, value, currency, origin and transport references. Explain genuine differences before filing.
A document list is not a clearance decision.
Check the final ITC (HS) line and the product regulator before loading the goods.
