Weight Bracket
A weight band in a rate schedule, where the rate per unit falls as the band rises.
A band in a carrier’s tariff within which one rate applies. Because rates step down at each break, a shipment just under a break can cost more in total than one just over it - so it is worth checking whether rating at the next bracket’s minimum weight is cheaper.
