Stowage
The placing and securing of cargo within a vessel or container.
How cargo is arranged and secured. Good stowage distributes weight, keeps incompatible cargo apart, and prevents movement in a seaway.
Who is responsible for it depends on the contract, and it decides liability when cargo shifts: damage caused by bad stowage sits with whoever undertook it.
