An origin test requiring a minimum proportion of a good’s value to arise within the trade agreement’s area.
A rule of origin requiring that a stated percentage of a product’s value comes from within the agreement’s territory. It appears in most modern trade agreements alongside change-of-tariff-heading tests.
The percentage is only half the rule: agreements differ in how the calculation is done - build-up, build-down, net cost - so the same product can qualify under one agreement and fail under another with an apparently similar threshold.
