Nomination
Naming a vessel, carrier, agent or facility that a contract requires the other party to use.
Naming the party or vessel a contract calls for - a buyer nominating the vessel under FOB, or a carrier nominating a return depot. Nominations are usually subject to a notice period, and a late one can shift responsibility for the delay it causes.
