Indirect Exporting
Selling abroad through an intermediary in the seller’s own country rather than directly to the foreign buyer.
Exporting through a domestic intermediary - an export house, trading company or buying agent - which handles the foreign sale. It lowers the exposure and the learning curve, at the cost of margin and of direct contact with the market. Contrast direct exporting.
