Freight broker
An intermediary that arranges transport between shippers and carriers without operating vehicles.
An intermediary matching cargo to carriers for a fee, without operating equipment or taking custody of the goods.
Unlike a freight forwarder, a broker does not normally issue its own transport document, so the shipper’s contract is with the carrier.
