Collect Freight
Freight payable by the consignee at destination rather than by the shipper at origin.
Freight charged to the consignee on arrival. The carrier will normally not release the goods until it is paid, which makes collect freight a control mechanism as well as a payment term. The opposite arrangement is freight prepaid.
